The tool is well designed and the two inset rubber grips on the body ensure a good purchase, important for fine detail work. The permanent magnet motor is powerful and well balanced and the variable speed control gives a range of 5,000 to 20,000rpm. At the opposite end to the drill chuck is a hanging loop, used when the tool is coupled up to a flexible shaft. This tool has a quality specification, a flexible drive shaft with precision handpiece and 1.0mm, 2.4mm and 3.0mm collets is also available as an optional extra. Supplied in a plastic storage case with 43 cutting, grinding, drilling and sanding accessories. Proxxon 110/P Flexi-Shaft A truly flexible shaft some 1 metre long. The precision aluminium hand piece features a milled steel shaft and dual ball-bearings. The highly-flexible core ensures no overheating even when working tight radii. Length 1,000mm, maximum speed 25,000rpm. Fitted with a delicate hand piece complete with six steel collets (1.0 - 1.5 - 2.0 - 2.4 - 3.0 and 3.2mm) for accurate holding of rotary tools and collet nut. Suitable for use with any of theProxxon range of tools or indeed any type of power source that can grip the 3mm male shaft of the unit. Proxxon UHZ Universal Holder Socket & clamp like the precision vice FMZ. The ball joint may be swivelled in all directions. 34mm bore accepts all MICROMOT machines.
