Arunda® is a system for manually making dovetailed wood-to-wood joints to assemble timber frame structures. All you need is a pair of Arunda® jigs (one for the tenon and the other for the mortise), a powerful Mafell router LO 65 Ec equipped with the special Arunda® cutter and some accessories.
In structural timber construction, dovetail joints have established themselves as statically safe, aesthetic and, above all, cost-effective connections. With the MAFELL router LO 65 Ec and the Arunda system, high-quality dovetail joints can be made in prefabrication and on site without major investments.
The ArundaSystem convinces timber construction experts with significant time and cost savings compared to conventional metal fasteners. With visible connections, craftsmen appreciate that the gap dimensions remain very small due to the natural adaptation of the wood. In addition, connections made with an Arunda system have a three to four times higher load-bearing capacity than conventional mortise-groove connections.
