Key Features
- Powerful – 2hp Motor runs off 13amp plug
- Easy Start – Remote control with timer settings
- Easy Waste Collection – Negative pressure system allows waste to be collected in bags
- Efficiency – Airflow volume and velocity unaffected by the waste collection due to cyclone design
- Low Maintenance – In Built cleaning paddle to remove excess dust from the cartridge filter
- Compact – Small footprint for a powerful sturdy machine
- Performance – Impressive flowrate but still runs off a 13amp plug
- Portable – Supplied with locking castors for ease of movement around the workshop
Strengths and benefits
- Cyclones offer a more consistent and superior performance than traditional extractors. First of all the dust, chips and shavings do not come into contact with the fan itself, so the rotation speed of the fan is constant and does not drop away due to the disturbance of the material being collected. Secondly, most of the dust, chips and shavings fall straight down into the collection drum and do not go into the filter chamber. The filter therefore stays cleaner for longer, maintaining the maximum airflow.
- The steel fan is powered by a quiet 2hp induction motor which draws air into the cyclone barrel and then down into the collection drum where it deposits most of the material collected. The air then flows back up, through the fan and through the cartridge filter. The filter will take out 99% of particles sized at 1 micron or above. A small amount of dust will be collected in the filter collection bag.
- To keep the filter in tip top condition there is an internal paddle cleaning system operated by a crank handle. The handle should be rotated periodically during long runs and whenever the cyclone is turned off.
- A window in the drum allows the operator to see when the drum needs emptying, which is a very simple operation. 2 handles raise the drum lid. The drum is on castors, and can be pulled forward to access the plastic collection bag. Replace the bag, roll the drum back into place and close the lid. The C300R has a negative pressure system which keeps the empty collection bag in place and prevents it being sucked up. No need for a messy drum insert inside the bag as required on many other cyclones.
- The C300R cyclone has a 125mm diameter inlet and is supplied with a splitter to give the option of using 2 x 100mm diameter inlets. 2 hoses can be connected at the same time for simultaneous collection or fit gates to close off hoses which are not being used.
- The whole machine sits on lockable castors and can easily be moved around the workshop when required.
- Another great feature is the addition of a remote handset to start & stop the cyclone. It comes with a wall mount so you can fix it in a convenient position or just keep it in your pocket.
- A countdown timer can be set from either the control panel or the remote handset. It can be used to run the cyclone for a fixed period of time after which it will turn off.
- Supplied with remote start handset, 1 collection bag for main drum, 1 collection bag for filter dust, 2.0m power cable with 3 pin UK plug.
How Often Should The Filter Be Cleaned?
- To maintain optimum performance, we recommend: Every time the extractor is turned off, or every 15 minutes during prolonged periods of running. It can be cleaned whilst the extractor is still running.
What Is A Cleaning Cycle?
- Rotate the handle 2 full turns in each direction.
What Are The Symptoms Of A Clogged Filter?
- 1) Because the air cannot escape from inside the extractor there is a build up of pressure inside. Air will be forced out of joins and seals which are normally airtight. Dust might be seen leaking out from unexpected places.
- 2) There will be a significant drop in airflow, and therefore collection performance, of the extractor.
