The NOVA 1624 II is an excellent entry level woodworking lathe that has enough versatility and power to give many years of turning. 8 speed range – features a low speed of 215 rpm essential for serious and safe large piece and bowl turning work. Steel and cast iron stand included as standard equipment. Full swivel head functionality and solid cast iron components complete the package. Available in 11/4" x 8TPI thread. Includes 1.5HP AC motor, belt, stand, 2MT live center, 2MT spur/drive center, 3" faceplate, 12" toolrest, manual and fastenings.

A well engineered accessory, the NOVA outrigger is an impressive hunk of precision machined cast iron. Coupled with the swivelling head feature of your lathe, it allows you to realise the full potential of turning items up to 735mm(29") diameter. The outrigger gives you rigid strength, stability and vibration-free performance. It provides rock steady chisel support for all larger turning. The articulating arm has three points of adjustment, making it very quick and easy to move into position to get the best support for your turning. The quick action gives positive locking, ready to go in less than 30 seconds. The Outrigger bolts to the end of the headstock bed casting without adding to the footprint of the lathe. Convenient, when not in use, the outrigger swings out of the way. You can use your existing tool rest or any alternative with a 25.4mm (1") shank.

NOVA 9006 Woodsurfer Curved Bowl Rest for Nova Lathes

NOVA 9006 Woodsurfer bowl rest provides excellent support for your bowl turning. Its unique curve and heavy duty, meaty construction makes turning a bowl so much easier. It is sturdy enough to cope with the big bowl turning capacity of the NOVA DVR and Outrigger’s 740mm (29") capacity. The Woodsurfer rest has a 1” stem, combined with a solid cast iron top for maximum strength. It will fit all NOVA lathes (excluding the NOVA 46000 Comet II midi lathe) and is suitable for all lathes with a 1" toolrest fitting including the Nova Galaxi ​lathe.
