• The scheppach DS930 wall and ceiling sander is a special drywall sander, which is also often referred to as a sanding giraffe or long-neck sander due to its shape. It is used for sanding ceilings and walls, for example to remove residues of paint, adhesive, plaster, wallpaper and filler, to roughen paintwork for a new coat of paint or to sand down a floor.
• The weight and handling of the device are crucial when it comes to working overhead, such as when sanding ceilings. The DS930 was designed exactly for this requirement. With 4.5 kg net weight, the ceiling sander is light enough to use for a long time. There are also several gripping options to prevent arm fatigue. The telescopic rod can be variably adjusted between 140 cm and 165 cm in order to optimally adjust the ceiling grinder in relation to the height of the ceiling and your own height.
• The DS930 is equipped with a round and a triangular inclinable grinding head, which can be changed depending on the requirements. The 215 mm grinding wheel is ideal for grinding down larger areas. With the sanding triangle you can easily get into corners and edges to sand them.
• Depending on the surface and application, the speed or number of vibrations of the grinder can be adjusted - the following applies: low number of vibrations for rough work, high number of vibrations for fine work. The speed is set in advance using a rotary control, and the power button can be easily locked for continuous operation. When it comes to evenly smoothing walls and ceilings, sensitivity is usually more important than speed.
