The HMS860 from scheppach is a combined planer and thicknesser for demanding do-it-yourselfers.

• The precise planing table made of die-cast aluminum ensures the best planing results. Due to the compact and stable design, this table model is also suitable for mobile use. A secure stand, the manual height adjustment and the connection of a dust extraction system enable comfortable working.
• First straighten, then plan to the desired thickness - with the HMS860 thickness planer from scheppach with integrated surface planer. The compact device with vibration-dampening rubber feet enables not only effortless, but also vibration-free planing and planing.
• The surface planer integrated in the HMS860 is used to produce flat surfaces, especially for warped and warped wood or for leveling boards, planks or squared timber. To do this, the wooden workpiece is guided over the precisely planed upper planing table made of die-cast aluminum, with the two planer knives straightening the underside of the wood with a maximum chip removal of 2.5 mm. The 540 mm long and 112 mm high planing fence can be used to create an exact 90° angle or any angle up to 135°.
• After dressing, the workpiece is planed. To do this, the planing table and the suction nozzle are adjusted upwards. Two HS planer knives remove up to 2 mm from the top of the workpiece, which is automatically fed at 6.4 m/min over the extendable planer table and through the thicknesser.
• The maximum opening height for the HMS860 is 120 mm. The desired planing thickness can be set with a hand wheel and remains constant throughout the entire work process. In this way, several workpieces can be brought to the same thickness one after the other - very advantageous, for example, when processing floorboards.
• The 1500 watt motor ensures a blade speed of 9000 min-1 and thus rapid processing. The high speed of the blade shaft also results in very fine surfaces. The two carbide knives are used for dressing as well as for planing.
• A generous extraction nozzle with an external diameter of 98 mm for external dust extraction ensures that the chips are removed from the work area and the air in the workshop remains dust-free.
