Cavetto: A quarter round concave moulding with a step/quirk. Find cavetto router cutters here.
Chamfer: A corner that is angled so that the edge of the material is removed. Find chamfer router cutters here.
Chipboard: Also known as sheet wood or particle board. Chipboard is made from small wood chippings mixed with resin and bound together. Chipboard is generally cheap and easy to use, however it is not waterproof and therefore unsuitable for outdoor use.
Chuck: Usually refers to the holding device at the end of a power drill or lathe.
Collet: A chuck or gripping device which fits on the end of a routing machine spindle to hold the shank of the cutters (concentric).
Collet Nut: The hexagonal nut that retains the collet in place on the spindle of a router.
Counterboring: A flat-bottomed enlargement of a smaller coaxial hole. A method of recessing the head of a screw or bolt into material, usually used when the head of a fastener is required to be flush with or below the level of a workpiece's surface. Tools which drill and cut the recess simultaneously are called counterborers.
Countersinks: A conical enlargement of a smaller coaxial hole. Similar to counterboring, but these tools cut conical countersink recesses to receive bolts and screws with countersunk heads.

Cross Cutting: Cross cutting is when you cut across the grain of the wood. A mitre saw is the most commonly used machine for cross cutting. Find mitre saws here.
Cutter Block: Usually refers to the main body of a spindle cutter head into which cutters are inserted and locked. Find spindle moulder cutter blocks here.
